Our primary school is located in a small village called Siedlec Duży, which belongs to Koziegłowy Community famous for its regional works - wicker baskets, hats and many different ornaments.

There are 54 pupils aged between 3 and 15, and 15 teachers. Some of our children have learning difficulties and they are under pedagogical and psychological support. Many children have problems with basic skills (writing and calculating), some have problems with ICT tools and English, a lot of children are fed in a bad way, they do not care about environment, they are addicted to the cyberworld, some are agressive. Our teachers fight with these problems organising help for such students (additional Polish, maths, English, Science and ICT lessons; individualization in teaching; providing ecological and healthy projects at school).

Teachers write school anti-bullying and cyber bullying sprogrammes, cooperate with psychologists, police and local doctors, organize different events and seminars for school community and parents about tolerance and danger of addictions of their children to the cyberworld. We organise many contests (District Polish and Maths Contests, Municipal Contest about European Union). Our students are motivated to take part in badminton, table tennis and football contests and they achieve good results in them.

We are a rural and poor area where school is the only cultural centre in our village. Our students’ families are not well educated, that’s why they do not understand the importance of gaining good education by their children. Most of them run their own farm where all families, including children, are involved in work. Financial problems of our pupils’ families do not allow to send their children abroad or even outside of their village. If children do not leave their village, they and their parents do not understand the importance of learning languages. They are closed to foreigners, different cultures, traditions and religions.
